South Africa is a wonderful place for children.
We welcome families at all our resorts and have special programmes in place to keep the youngest children entertained and educated – while making sure their safety is our top priority.
The beauty and abundance of nature in all its glory is why families from all over the world choose South Africa for their family holidays – whether they be on the beach or in the bush.
And we have special rates for children to make sure families can spend their time together in South Africa – please contact your travel agent or our reservations team to discuss these.
While enjoying the bounteous beauty of the bush all parents/guardians need to be aware of the danger posed by wild animals. Care should be taken in deciding when and where children are allowed to move around and/or play. As a result at all our game lodges we require that children remain under adult supervision at all times and that the parents/guardians ensure that their children do not disturb the peace and tranquillity for the other guests.
Cognisance must be taken of the fact that all lodges situated on Entabeni Safari Conservancy are unfenced properties and extra precautions need to be taken to ensure the safety of children.
Children under six years of age will not be permitted on game drives due to therisk to themselves and other guests. Where possible, depending on the number ofchildren in-house and the availability of additional vehicles, special game drives forchildren can be arranged as part of the Little Legend activity programme. Other activities such as “gogga” patrols and clay model building are available by prior arrangement
In a situation where the game vehicle is left behind to track game on foot, the game ranger has sole discretion on whether children are allowed to accompany the guests. If the game ranger decides that the children may not accompany the other guests, at least one parent/guardian will be expected to remain behind on the vehicle to supervise the children.
Baby sitting services are also available at an additional charge at all our properties.
Nature Walks: Children under 12 years of age are not allowed to participate in the game walks offered at Entabeni Safari Conservancy.
